Rural homes left without working phone lines for weeks
ByThe Courier Reporter
Rural homeowners in Angus have voiced anger at being without a phone line for weeks.
Almost 20 homes in Kingennie of the outskirts of Dundee have been without phone service, and in some cases no internet access, since early January.
One resident said: “Communication from BT has been very poor with few, if any, progress updates and no end in sight.”
A spokesman for BT Openreach said: “New aerial cabling is required, along with two new poles. Initial planning work has been completed and the job is with our traffic management contractor for a site survey, to identify the type of lights we require.
“We can then approach the council for permissions.”
