Only a handful of tickets remain for the sixth Montrose Music Festival as the town gets ready to rock.

Montrose Music Festival, or Mo Fest, started with a bang in 2008 with more than 60 free gigs across the town during the festival weekend, with an open-air street event and a headlining performance by the Average White Band.

Now in its sixth year, Mo Fest will feature even more gigs than last year, an outdoor stage, a youth festival and a headline performance by Toploader.

Online tickets have now sold out but the last few standing and seated tickets are still available from B@r, Hume Street, Montrose, priced £15.

The only ticketed event is the Friday night headline gig in the town hall. The rest of the weekend’s entertainment throughout the various pubs, clubs and hotels of Montrose is free of charge.

The full line-up has finally been announced to the legions of online fans, and programmes will be hitting the shops next week.

The High Street open-air concert will keep all the family entertained on the Saturday, while providing a “best of the fest” showcase for many of the weekend’s performers.

On the Sunday the High Street stage will host the youth festival, giving young musicians a chance to perform on the big stage.
