Organised by local members Hugh Wylie and Douglas Jess, the event in Carnoustie included bicycles ranging in age from 49 to over 100.
A total of 14 members cycled to Arbroath and back along the coastal cycle track, making a detour where a section of route remains impassable from winter floods.
Highlight of the day was the return to the town of a 107-year-old bicycle that had been stowed in the rafters of a garage for decades.
Mr Wylie said: “Squally showers did not deter, but on returning to Carnoustie the lunch at the Station Hotel was very welcome.”
The Veteran Cycle Club was founded in 1955 for people with an interest in restoring and riding elderly bicycles and has members throughout the UK as well as the rest of Europe, the US and Japan.
