An Angus Council carer has admitted stealing a blind 89-year-old woman’s purse.
Jane Burns (32), of Isla Road, Alyth, pleaded guilty by letter at Forfar Sheriff Court on Thursday. She admitted that on December 14 at an address in Inver Terrace, Muirhead, she stole a purse and its contents.
Sheriff Kevin Veal deferred sentence until April 14 for a social inquiry report, community service order assessment, restriction of liberty order assessment, and for Burns to make a personal appearance.
An Angus Council spokesman said, “We don’t comment on matters relating to individual members of staff.”
