A video created by a Dundee woman hoping to attract the attention of Gary Barlow has become a sensation, attracting tens of thousands of views in one day.

Take That superfan Jill Campbell and her sister made the video, a parody of the song Back for Good, in the hope the singer will appear at her 30th birthday party in May.

The video, recorded on her phone, features prominent Dundee landmarks and alters some of the words to the ’90s hit to include references to the city.

Jill said that reaction to the clip has been “amazing” and the sheer number of views it has had has been “overwhelming”.

“Gary sent out a tweet saying this year he would appear at people’s milestone birthdays,” she said.

“Last year he surprised people who had asked him to appear at their weddings.

“I’ve been sending tweet after tweet to him asking him to look at the video, hoping he will come.

“I’ve been a fan of Gary and Take That from the beginning. I went to my first concert in 1994 up in Aberdeen and since then I have been to see Gary and Take That 17 times.

“I’m a musician and chose Back for Good because it is one of my favourite songs to play on the piano.

“My sister helped me film the video after we recorded our version of the song the whole thing was done really simply with the computer at home. Since it went up on Facebook the reaction to it has been absolutely amazing and completely overwhelming.”
