A brazen thief has stolen sweets left out for binmen as a Christmas thank you gift.
Robert Muir of Dundee posted this video of the apparent theft online yesterday.
He wrote: “This lady pinched our present for the bin men at 11:49 today in Dundee.
“Please share and shame the sweetie stealer.”
The video has since been shared online and seen by hundreds of people.
However, when the video was posted on Dark Dundee’s Facebook page some users smelt a rat.
Lindsay Jackson Dye wrote: “Unless there’s been a spate of bin thefts, who has their CCTV trained on their bins? Still smell a setup.”
It is understood the camera may have been installed following a spate of thefts in the area.
