A Dundee man is to stand trial after his dog allegedly repeatedly bit a child.
Jason Sinclair appeared in court on Monday facing a charge that he was the owner of a dangerously out of control dog.
It is alleged the dog a Staffordshire bull terrier repeatedly bit a child on the body, to his injury, on July 7.
Sinclair, 18, of Glenconnor Drive, Dundee, denies the charge on summary complaint at Dundee Sheriff Court.
The case was continued to a trial date next month.
Staffordshire bull terriers are not included in the Dangerous Dogs Act but are often mistaken for banned breeds like pitbulls, due to their muscular and powerful frames.
