Two people had to be cut free from a car after a two-vehicle smash at the junction of Dock Street and Broughty Ferry Road.
Both were in the same vehicle, and the roof had to be removed by firefighters to free one of them. The other occupant was freed through the side door.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said one casualty was taken to Ninewells Hospital by ambulance but their condition is unknown.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision. Two people were trapped in a car.
“One person was removed via the side door. The second person was removed from the vehicle by removing the roof and using a long board.”
An eyewitness described Dock Street being closed after the incident which happened at 11.18am.
