Dundee dealer was caught with over £22,000 of drugs

A ‘risk-taking’ Dundee man caught with more than £22,000 worth of designer drugs has been jailed for 21 months.
Alexander Cruickshank, 55, was arrested following an anonymous tip-off.
When police stopped him, he passed a carrier bag to his passenger, who tried to walk off before she was caught.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard previously that a search of the bag revealed £20,000 worth of pentedrone and £2,780 worth of MEC.
Cruickshank, of Castlecary Gardens, previously admitted on indictment to being concerned in the supply of pentedrone and MEC on October 25 last year in Fintry Drive, while on bail.
Sheriff George Way said: “These drugs are not modest packages. If you look at his previous record, Mr Cruickshank takes risks.
“He has two previous convictions for driving whilst disqualified.
“No one who drives whilst disqualified is doing anything other than gambling.
“Mr Cruickshank knows perfectly well how serious it is to get involved in the supply of drugs. He’s taking the same sort of risks.
“The message has to go out: if you take risks like this within the drug culture, there will be consequences.”
