Dundee’s education convener has paid a site visit to view demolition work at the old Harris Academy.
Councillor Stewart Hunter was accompanied by school head teacher Jim Thewliss as he saw the progress being made in clearing the Perth Road site to make way for a £31 million replacement.
Important architectural features such as the clock tower and stone entrance portico will be reused.
Mr Hunter said: “Pupils have now taken up temporary residence in the former Rockwell building for the duration of the project and they have taken the spirit and ethos of Harris there with them.”
