Prince Charles and Camilla will be in Dundee next month.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are to visit Dundee.

The royal couple are to attend a number of functions in the city on Tuesday, June 11.

The pair, whose Scottish title is the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, will be on hand to switch on the new printing centre at DC Thomson’s premises on Kingsway East.

Prince Charles and his wife will meet and greet employees and members of the Thomson family before pressing the button to activate the company’s new printing press.

Chairman Andrew F Thomson said he was “delighted” to confirm the royal visit.

He said: “On Tuesday June 11 Their Royal Highnesses will visit our Kingsway offices to meet employees and start our new printing press.”

Also as part of the trip, Prince Charles will visit the Grey Lodge Settlement which is celebrating its 125th anniversary.

The prince will be touring the centre on South George Street and meeting a variety of support groups the organisation backs.

The Duchess of Rothesay will also visit a number of trusts she presides over at Ninewells Hospital, including Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre, the National Osteoporosis Society, and JRDF, the type 1 diabetes charity.
