VOLUNTEERS BRAVED the rain and cold over the weekend to help out as charitable customers purchased Caring Christmas Trees at the Landmark Hotel in Dundee.
Bethany Christian Trust used the hotel as a pick-up point for those who ordered their firs online.
The charity sold 85 trees, with all proceeds going to support its projects to combat homelessness.
Deborah Farley from the Bethany Christian Trust said: “It’s gone well. We sold 85 and that’s been really great.
“The volunteers have been fantastic.
“We were here on Friday night too when it was really wet and chilly and customers were arriving and getting them in their cars quickly but people have certainly been very happy about the project.”
In January the charity opened a drop-in in Dundee and money raised from the Caring Christmas Trees will go towards that and Bethany’s award-winning resettlement project Passing the Baton, which is active in the city.
Bethany offers a lifeline to people in crisis and the charity is committed to getting people off the streets this winter.
