London mayor Boris Johnson makes flying visit to St Andrews

Mayor of London Boris Johnson made a flying visit to Courier Country over the weekend.
Mr Johnston visited St Andrews in a personal capacity before flying back to London from Dundee Airport on Sunday afternoon.
Television star Lorraine Kelly, who is based in Dundee and commutes to and from London every week, tweeted: ”Boris Johnson on the plane wonder what he was up to in Dundee?”
Earlier in the day, Mr Johnston had enjoyed lunch at the Seafood Restaurant on the Bruce Embankment, St Andrews.
Owner Tim Butler said on his Twitter page that he was ”very honoured to have such a character in”.
A spokeswoman for the Mayor of London’s office said: ”It was a private and personal engagement, so it is not something we would make a comment on.”
