A van driver escaped unhurt after their vehicle plunged into the Muchty Burn in Fife.
Police were called to Burnside in Auchtermuchty at 6.30pm after the Dial A Dog Wash van crashed backwards through a stone wall, with the vehicle’s rear wheels ending up in the burn.
Eyewitnesses said they saw the van rolling backwards, prompting suggestions the handbrake may not have been applied.
However, a Police Scotland spokesperson said they believed the van’s handbrake had been on and confirmed that officers were investigating the cause of the crash further.
No-one was hurt in the incident.
