A Dundee postman is about to star in a Royal Mail advertising campaign.
Chris Ali, who has been with the company for two and a half years and works in its Tayport office, will make his TV debut during an advert break in tonight’s X Factor on STV.
He was one of 25 workers chosen out of 2,500 who applied to be in the advert, which celebrates the Royal Mail’s role in delivering one billion parcels a year.
Chris, 40, who lives in the Stobswell area, had to audition before a panel of directors and producers.
He said: “I can’t believe I actually made it through to the final cut of the ad I’m genuinely excited. It was such a great experience, and it was amazing to see exactly how ads are shot.”
Chris will be seen pushing a post trolley through the rain to get packages delivered on time.
