Photo gallery: Queen’s Baton Relay in Perthshire

The Queens baton enjoyed a triumphant arrival in Perth and Kinross as thousands cheered on its bearers on July 4. Highlights included a visit to the former crowning place of Scottish kings at Scone Palace and a flotilla of canoes down the Tay to Perth, with fireworks to greet them. It ended the day at a huge event on the North Inch. This photo shows former Amateur golf champion Stuart Wilson with some of the junior club members and youngsters who wanted to see the baton when it arrived at Blairgowrie Golf Club.
