In pictures: Royal Aero Club races at Perth Airport

Those magnificent men in their flying machines took to the air above Perthshire at the weekend. For the first time in 100 years of air racing, the Royal Aero Club organised two races which saw aircraft flying five laps of a 20-mile circuit, beginning and finishing at Perth Airport. Their route took them to the skies above Coupar Angus and the area over the Tay at Murthly and Kinclaven at speeds of up to 200mph.
