Roasting sunshine and soaring temperatures are expected to continue for Courier country for the rest of the week and over the weekend.
Wednesday was the hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures climbing into the mid-20s in Dundee.
Perthshire recorded some of the highest temperatures and people are being urged to put on plenty of sun cream, or stay in the shade.
A Met Office spokesman said there was still a small possibility of isolated showers and it may not yet be time to put the umbrella back in the cupboard.
The spokesman said: “There should be good sunshine, especially at the coast.
“It should be bright and sunny throughout the rest of the week and there’s a good chance we could see the hottest day so far.
“Over the weekend we expect more cloud and less direct sunshine, but it should be fine and dry.
“There’s a strong signal that it will remain in the high teens, perhaps into the low 20s over the weekend.”
Those lucky enough to be off to Wimbledon or Glastonbury look set to experience fantastic weather.
Forecasters are ‘optimistic’ that Wimbledon will escape delayed matches, and Glastonbury will avoid the worst of the trademark mud.
The hotspots of Tayside and Fife are expected to be busy with people using their weekend to soak up the sun, and NHS Tayside have reminded everyone to put on sun cream, and to cook barbecue meat thoroughly to avoid getting ill.
