A 33-year-old woman has appeared in court accused of assaulting a woman at a city centre cash machine.
In a private hearing, Susan McElwee, of St Catherine’s Square, Perth, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody. Her case was continued for further examination.
It is alleged that on July 26 at the Bank of Scotland ATM on South Street, Perth, McElwee assaulted Stacey Brown.
She is said to have approached her after she had withdrawn cash, seized her by the arm, twisted her hand and demanded money, before struggling violently, to Ms Brown’s injury, with intent to rob. She is also charged with possession of diamorphine at St Catherine’s Square on July 31.
