Taylor Swift eyes £4.6m Perthshire castle love nest

Top-selling recording star Taylor Swift may be packing her bags and heading to Scotland.
Top-selling recording star Taylor Swift may be packing her bags and heading to Scotland.

The queen of pop could be contemplating reigning over the charts from a Perthshire castle.

Superstar Taylor Swift is reportedly in talks to buy the 16th Century Tower of Lethendy, which is north of Perth.

The 25-year-old star the only artist to have three albums hit a million sales in their first week is in a relationship with Scots DJ and record producer Calvin Harris. She reportedly wants a Scottish base to be nearer to him and his family in Edinburgh.

Swift and Harris met at the Brit Awards in February and revealed their relationship in April.

Lethendy Castle dates back to 1570 and the estate boasts its own 18-hole golf course, heated swimming pool and tennis courts.

Selling agent Savills is asking for offers over £4.6 million for the property. This asking price, however, would not daunt the showbiz couple who between them last year earned a reported £93 million.

The stars are keeping mum on their house-hunting but Swift is understood to have set her heart on the beautiful and historic castle, which was renovated 20 years ago.
