A sex offender who failed to appear at Perth Police Station when required to do so will appear for sentencing on May 11.
Roderick McMaster, 50, of Falls Cottage, Kinloch Rannoch, pleaded guilty to a charge that between January 31 and February 2 at Perth Police HQ, Barrack Street, he failed to comply with a registration requirement as part of the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
Solicitor Cliff Culley, defending, told the court his client had previously been given a seven-year registration period but had wrongly thought this had finished and was at home on the day of the offence.
“My client apologises for this,” he said.
Sentence was deferred for background reports.
