Cowardly thieves enter elderly woman’s home in Balado

Police are hunting two men who entered an elderly woman’s home before stealing her personal belongings.
The frightening incident happened at the 76-year-old woman’s home in Balado at 1.30pm on Wednesday.
The woman was shaken but unhurt.
One of the suspects is described as in his 20s, thin, with brown eyes, short brown hair with a goatee-type beard, wearing a blue hooded top and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as being about 18, tanned and wearing a grey/blue jersey top.
Detective Inspector Wayne Morrison said: “This is a despicable crime targeting an elderly person in their home and enquiries are ongoing to trace the individuals responsible for this crime.
“We would urge anyone who may have seen these men before or after the incident in the area to contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101 or speak with any police officer.
“Information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
