Drivers in a Perthshire village will be stopped by police this weekend as they try to track down a man who indecently exposed himself to four 12-year-old girls.
Officers will be attempting to identify any further witnesses who may have seen or heard anything suspicious following the alarming incidents, which took place in Bridge of Earn last weekend.
Police will be making inquiries in the area and will also be stopping and speaking to motorists, dog walkers and residents who may have been in the areas of Paradise Avenue and Earngrove at the time.
Officers have also asked residents who have private CCTV systems to contact them.
Police have revealed that the car in question has been seen in the village and some outlying areas.
The first incident took place last Saturday at 5.40pm. Two 12-year-old girls were walking in the Earngrove area of Bridge of Earn when they were approached by a man in a car who spoke briefly to them before exposing himself.
The following day at about 5pm, a different pair of 12-year-old girls were walking in Paradise Avenue when they were approached by what is believed to be the same man in his car. He again exposed himself.
The man is described as being Asian, aged between 35 and 45 years old, with a beard that was described as “quite long on the chin.”
The man is understood to have been driving a small, blue car.
A police spokesman said: “Inquiries so far have revealed that the car is known to have driven through the Balmanno and Kintillo areas and was also seen in Paradise Avenue, Kintillo Road and Earngrove, Bridge of Earn.”
Anyone with any information on the incidents is asked to telephone police on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
