Pipes and Drums of Canada thrill crowds in Pitlochry

The Pipes and Drums of Canada paraded on the streets of Pitlochry on Thursday.
Around 140 musicians set off from Rie-Achan Road and continued down to Balhousie Care Home.
Perth and Kinross Provost Liz Grant was on hand to take the salute outside Fisher’s Hotel on the main street.
The massed band was joined by the Blairgowrie Pipe Band and Vale of Atholl Pipe band for a march down Atholl Road to the Recreation Ground for a mini tattoo.
The Pipes and Drums of Canada was founded in 1974 and has performed around the world, making its first tour of Scotland in 1979.
It has featured in events such as the Braemar Gathering, Edinburgh Festival Cavalcade, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and performed for the Queen at Balmoral.
