A 30-year-old man is due to appear in court on Tuesday in connection with the “suspicious” death of a 49-year-old Perthshire jeweller.
Alan Gardner was found dead at his Balbeggie home on April 23 and police have nowconfirmed a man has been charged in connection with the incident on Monday night.
The jeweller had lived in the village for six years.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a 49-year-old man at Balbeggie, Perthshire on Thursday April 23.
“He is expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday May 12 and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
