A woman and child have been taken to hospital after a car crash involving pedestrians in Edinburgh.
Police and fire service vehicles were called to the scene of the incident on Morningside Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Police Scotland said two pedestrians were involved in the crash which happened outside St Columba’s Hospice charity shop at around 2.30pm.
The road was shut in both directions between Springvalley Park and Morningside Park.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Around 2.30pm on Tuesday, 30 June, 2020, police received a report of a road traffic crash involving a car and two pedestrians outside St Columba’s Hospice charity shop in Morningside Road, Edinburgh.
“A woman and young child have been taken to hospital by ambulance.
“Traffic diversions are in place. Police inquiries are ongoing.”
