A woman and child have been taken to hospital after a car mounted a pavement in Edinburgh and hit a shop.
Police and fire service vehicles were called to the scene of the crash on Morningside Road on Tuesday afternoon.
Police Scotland said two pedestrians, the woman and child, were involved in the crash outside St Columba’s Hospice charity shop at around 2.30pm.
They were both taken to hospital by ambulance.
The car crossed the pavement and hit a wall at the front of the charity shop.
The road was shut in both directions between Springvalley Park and Morningside Park.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Around 2.30pm on Tuesday June 30 police received a report of a road traffic crash involving a car and two pedestrians outside St Columba’s Hospice charity shop in Morningside Road, Edinburgh.
“A woman and young child have been taken to hospital by ambulance.
“Traffic diversions are in place. Police inquiries are ongoing.”
The force said it was not able to provide details on the condition of the driver.
