A kayaker has been rescued after capsizing around a mile from shore in the Highlands.
The man, 31, got into difficulty north of Plockton and was unable to climb back into his kayak.
He was able to call 999 at around midday on Friday and was rescued by Kyle RNLI inshore lifeboat.
Stornoway Coastguard said the man, who was wearing a buoyancy aid, was in the water for around 40 minutes before he was rescued.
He was taken to shore, checked over by an ambulance crew and found to be safe and well.
