The body of a man who is believed to have been fishing has been recovered from a river near Falkirk.
Police Scotland pulled the body of a man in his sixties from the banks of the River Carron, Larbert, at about 9.50am on Thursday.
It is understood he was reported missing on Wednesday when he failed to return from a fishing trip.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 9.50am on Thursday police recovered the body of a man in his sixties from the riverbanks of the River Carron, Larbert.
“There would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
