A man has died after a fall on an oil rig in the Highlands.
The incident happened shortly before 7pm on Tuesday on a platform at Invergordon harbour in Easter Ross. Northern Constabulary said the Heath and Safety Executive has been informed.
The man, who was working on the rig at the time, has yet to be identified.
An HSE spokeswoman said: “We are making preliminary inquiries alongside Northern Constabulary.”
A spokeswoman for the rig’s owner, Transocean, said the platform has been docked at the port since the end of January for modification and upgrade work.
