Motorbike rider killed in crash near Tyndrum

A motorcyclist has died and a car passenger has suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash.

The collision between the bike and an Alfa Romeo car happened on the A82 north of Tyndrum at around 11.30am on Saturday.

The 47-year-old man riding the motorcycle was killed, while a passenger in the car suffered serious injuries.

Police Sergeant Roddy MacMillan, of trunk road policing in Stirling, said: “This is the second such collision in recent weeks involving a motorcycle.

“We will continue to carry out high-visibility patrols and enforcement activity in the area to deter further incidents.”

Police closed the road while they carried out their investigations.
