Judy Murray will be the chieftain of this year’s Bridge of Allan Highland Games.
Scotland’s most famous sports mum follows in the footsteps of the likes of past chieftains Ally McCoist, Terry Butcher, Avengers star Dame Diana Rigg, Kirsy Young and Neil Oliver.
Tennis coach Judy, who is from Bridge of Allan, won the hearts of the nation during her appearances last year on the popular BBC1 show Strictly Come Dancing.
Games officials, who are delighted to have Judy on board, tweeted: “Really excited you’re our chieftain this year.
“Might not top the wedding, but should be a fantastic day’.”
The Bridge of Allan Highland Games, recognised as one of the biggest and best in the country, will be held on Sunday August 2.
