A spectacular psychedelic timelapse video of the Northern Lights abover Scotland has received an out-of-this world response online.
Maciej Winiarcyzk took photos every second of the Northern Lights above Strathy Point in Sutherland on March 17.
When these shots were run together the results were impressive, to say the least.Post by Maciej Winiarczyk.Since Maciej posted the video on his Facebook page on Sunday it has been shared more than 3,000 times.
Although it appears to be filming the horizon, Maciej had his camera pointed almost directly overhead, with the top of a cliff face visible at the bottom of the video.
He said: “What you see is a top of almost vertical cliff.
“Picture was shot almost straight up with fisheye lens, so I could catch top of the cliff in my frame quite easily.”
