A new MSP has been sworn in to the Scottish Parliament to replace the late David McLetchie.

Cameron Buchanan has taken up the role of MSP on the Lothian regional list following the death of the former Conservative leader from cancer on August 12.

Mr Buchanan, 66, is a textiles entrepreneur and a former vice-chairman of the party. He lives in Edinburgh with his wife Emma, a deputy head teacher.
