Andy Murray and Kim Sears name their new baby Sophia Olivia

Andy Murray and Kim Sears have named their baby Sophia Olivia, according to the tennis ace’s agent.

The Dunblane-born star and his wife had announced the birth more than a week ago.

Sophia Olivia, who weighed 8lbs 10oz at birth, is believed to be at home with her parents in Surrey.

Bookies had been offering odds on the baby’s name since the pregnancy was announced last year.

One said the choice had “cost them a fortune”.

Andy and Kim, who have been together for nine years, married in April last year in the former Wimbledon champion’s home town of Dunblane in Perthshire.

One bookmaker is already offering a 500/1 shot that Sophia Olivia eventually wins Wimbledon.

David Macdonald, of Ladbrokes, said: “We’ve been served an ace by punters and it looks like Sophia is already following in her father’s footsteps by taking the bookies to the cleaners.”

Other names backed early on by punters for Murray’s baby were Freya, Alexandra, Elizabeth and Grace.

The couple, who are both 28, married in Murray’s home town of Dunblane last April.
