Staff and students at Dundee College will be able to enjoy an extra day off thanks to the royal wedding.
A spokesman said, “A public holiday has been declared on Friday, April 29 as a result of the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. We have decided that the college will be closed on this day, giving a discretionary day off on which people might choose to enjoy this celebration.
“As the college is also closed on Monday, May 2 for May Day, we hope this will be a welcome long weekend.”
The city council has already announced that Dundee schools will also be closed for the day, but Dundee University has said it will be open as usual.
