Dundee University students have been encouraged to think about how much they drink at an alcohol awareness event in the student union’s Air Bar.
NHS Tayside, the police and fire and rescue service have teamed up for Alcohol Awareness Week, and representatives of all three bodies were on hand to offer students the chance to find out how many units they consume each week, and offer tips on how to drink sensibly.
“Dundee University Students’ Association is proud to be considered one of the safest venues in Dundee,” said vice-president of student welfare Amy Waldron.
“Our new advice and support centre provides a comprehensive array of information surrounding alcohol awareness.”
Superintendent Athol Aitken from Tayside Police said officers are only too aware of the problems drink can cause.
