A schoolboy has become an internet hit over his uncanny impression of Alex Salmond.
Ryan McGuigan, 13, drew praise from the former First Minister himself for the stand-up performance at a Scotland Malawi Partnership event.
The pupil at St Margaret’s, Airdrie, mimicked Mr Salmond’s gestures to a tee as he launched into a defence of North Sea oil resources and an attack on Scottish Liberal Democrats leader Willie Rennie.
Humza Yousaf, the international development minister, posted the video on Facebook declaring the schoolboy had “nailed” the impression.
Mr Salmond tweeted: “This boy will go far! Absolutely fantastic!”
