Presenter Edith Bowman has taunted Charlie Sloth after the DJ attacked her in a foul-mouthed outburst at an awards ceremony.

Sloth lost out to Bowman at the Audio & Radio Industry Awards (ARIAS), and footage from Twitter shows him taking to the stage telling and her “f*** your life” to resounding boos from the crowd.

Bowman has responded on Twitter with a post saying she hopes the enraged DJ is “feeling ok” after the dramatic awards night.

The furious Sloth was nominated for the 1Xtra’s Rap Show, but Bowman beat him in the category of Best Specialist Music Show, and clinched the award for her Soundtracking with Edith Bowman.

Sloth stormed on stage and said “Edith Bowman, f*** your life”, adding “I just wanna say BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Saturday night Rap Show, f*** your life”.

The DJ, who is leaving 1Xtra after 10 years of presenting, was greeted with boos from the Leeds crowd at the awards ceremony.

Bowman posted on twitter following the outburst, saying: “Morning @CharlieSloth hope you are feeling ok this morning.”

The presenter’s representation declined to comment on the outburst. Sloth has already announced that he would be leaving the BBC.  His representatives have also been approached for comment on the awards drama.
