Coming up in Tuesday’s Courier Ah ha ha ha staying alive, staying alive

Coming up in Tuesday’s Courier Ah ha ha ha staying alive, staying alive

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk,

I’m a woman’s man, no time to talk.

Music loud and women warm.

I’ve been kicked around since I was born.

And so and so forth.

The reason for this somewhat lyrical introduction is that Tuesday a great day at the best of times is going to be even better than normal.

That is due, in no small part, to The Courier’s knock-out glitterball glory days series.

We look back at the local clubs of yesteryear in a two-day special (the second part of which, rather cunningly and in a nod to chronological convention, will appear on Wednesday). It’s guaranteed to jog a wide array of memories.

While you were at such nightclubs (Flicks in Brechin, Ice Factory in Perth, Coconut Grove in Dundee etc etc) you may well have imbibed to one degree or another.

Well, in Tuesday’s Courier we also have news of an imminent change to the drink drive limit. Mot fascinating.

We gave a reporter a four-pack of lager in a (not altogether scientific) bid to ascertain the facts behind the changes. He was gutted to be chosen for such a ghastly assignment but, being a model professional, manfully knocked some back before taking a breath test.

Our findings were remarkable and it is our very great pleasure to bring you the full details in Tuesday’s clear-headed and perfectly legal and above-board Courier.

Kieran Andrews is our political editor and what with the big political story of the day being at the Lib Dem conference in Glasgow, it made perfect sense to send him there. So we did.

He cut through the wire of the huge, massive fence all the delegates were sitting on (only joking Lib Dem fans) to bring you all the very latest.

In Tuesday’s Courier we also have details of the oil baron hoping to set fire to the coal bed off the coast of Fife.

It may sound like something from a James Bond film (apart from the “Fife” bit) but it is science fact, not science fiction.

Amazing stuff.

Please don’t miss out on what could well become known as the best newspaper ever produced (what? It might). In short, do snap up Tuesday’s Courier. Failing that, why not try our digital edition?
