Coming up in Saturday’s Courier MEOW

Coming up in Saturday’s Courier MEOW

In fact MEOW simply isn’t terrifying enough.

A throaty growl of some sort may be more appropriate as we investigate big cat sightings in Courier Country.

The Beast of Balbirnie, the Perthshire Puma, the Luncarty Leopard, the Tayport Tiger (two of the aforementioned are made up. Actually it’s quite possible all of them are made up…).

Anyway, there have been many legendary tales of big cats stalking our countryside.

In Saturday’s Courier we hear from the police on reports filed in the last few years. And it makes for some pretty interesting reading…

Find out for yourself on perusing your copy of The Courier (if you dare. And I rather hope you will. In fact I would be downright disappointed if you were too scared. It’s only a story in a newspaper after all).

Kids.

Lovely creatures but extremely expensive to rear.

In Friday’s Courier we find out precisely how much it costs to raise a sprog up to the age of 11. The costs include a rather surprising £18 a month on FURNITURE.

Coming Up corner is a pretty fertile place so the statistics are somewhat worrying to say the very least…

We also have details of a quite remarkable stitch-a-thon.

A stitch in time saves nine (whatever that means) but how many scarves could you stitch together in 24 hours?

I’ll be honest, it’s a question I simply can’t answer. Although I suspect the answer would be approximately one-ish (give or take one).

Well, we meet the woman who can sew together 600 in ONE HOUR.

BOOOM.

She intends to demonstrate her skills for charity on Saturday using, among other things, scarves donated by TV funnygirl (we are legally obliged to described her thus) Karen Dunbar and Gregory’s Girl actress (we are legally obliged to describe her thus) Clare Grogan. Wonderful stuff.

A super Saturday awaits our readers. Be part of what promises to be a celebration of top-notch journalism (or something similar) by picking up your copy of The Courier. Can’t, won’t or shan’t? Don’t despair, simply try our digital edition.
