Coming up in Wednesday’s Courier Taxi for Buble

Coming up in Wednesday’s Courier Taxi for Buble

Not so long ago The Courier brought you the tale of the crooning cabbie.

Jimmy Smart was a sensation among customers in Dundee thanks to his rendition of Michael Buble songs.

Well now he is a GLOBAL sensation.

I don’t say that lightly.

Here in Coming Up Corner we have, in the past, witnessed our fair share of stars in the ascendency. We have also seen those for whom the glittering light of fame is on the wane.

Well, for “Jimmy Buble” it appears the only way is up and the ceiling keeps on getting higher. In fact, there is no ceiling. That’s how high Jimmy is getting.

The cabbie has only gone and stolen the show at a concert by his idol, Michael Buble.

Mr Buble (the real one) had heard all about Jimmy’s fame and during a concert in front of 11,000 paying punters invited the young (actually slightly older, but no matter) pretender to join him in a stirring rendition of Let It Snow.

And boy, did Jimmy oblige? (He did, lest there be any ambiguity).

Jimmy put everything into the performance and the critics (by which I mean the aforementioned paying punters) were not slow in heaping praise on the dynamic driver.

The Courier has all the fall-out following a quite simply phenomenal night.

Meanwhile, BOOOOOM.

I don’t really want to insult your intelligence as I know you will already be well aware that the above was the sound made by the weather bomb exploding all over Scotland.

However, what you may not know is just how shrapnel from said incendiary device is to ravage Courier Country.

I therefore and hereby invite you to peruse your midweek edition where we have full apocalyptical details.

If it is quite remarkable stories you are after than look no further than Wednesday’s Courier, which brings you news of the country bobby with a cow phobia.

Said cop was left on a somewhat sticky wicket on being sent to arrest a man in a cowshed.

It didn’t end well.

Moo-ving swiftly on, and we have full coverage of a right royal knees-up in New York.

Among those having a jolly time were Wills (the Prince), Kate (his Mrs), Jay-Z (the King of hip-hop) and Beyonce (his Mrs). Quite a guest list.

Find out why critics are already suggesting that, for those reading the Courier, Wednesday should be officially renamed Winning Wednesday (they aren’t really) by snapping up your copy. Failing that, why not try our digital edition?
