Coming up in Wednesday’s Courier old cars, golf, George Galloway, an angry taxi driver

Wednesday’s Courier is, in my humblest of humble opinions, everything a (good) newspaper should be.

Incisive, critical, entertaining, erudite and amusing.

Quite aside from that, we have all the latest on the pedalo riders (sailors? pilots?) who have travelled more than 500 miles in their craft, cunningly shaped like the Loch Ness monster.

Why? I could tell you, but surely it will be more fun to ruminate over the connundrum for several hours before picking up your copy of The Courier, whereby you can and indeed almost certainly will indulge in a wry smile and possibly even an indulgent chuckle as you enjoy the full story.

But back to the incisive, critical etc stuff.

We have all the very latest on this independence referendum business. The dust has settled on the latest TV debate (thought provoking indeed entertaining and erudite blog right here).

It was another busy day on the campaign trail and we have every single twist and turn (be warned, there are more than those found on your average corkscrew, ie lots).

Included is the taxi driver left somewhat miffed, and indeed out of pocket, after council bosses demanded his Saltire be removed from his vehicle. Controversial.

On Tuesday night George Galloway returned to Dundee. The politician is no stranger to controversy himself. We went along to hear what he had to say this time around. And you can get the full details in your midweek Courier.

And so to old cars. The hammer is set to come down on £1 million/a cool million (delete as per your own personal attitude toward cliche) worth of vintage vehicles. For motoring enthusiasts it really is terrific. For others I admit the appeal may initially appear somewhat limited. But there is lots of gleaming paintwork and all that kind of superficial stuff to enjoy.

If it’s boffins talking about chimps you want (I assume it is) then for heaven’s sake don’t monkey around. Wednesday’s Courier has news of boffins talking about chimps, you see.

The Ryder Cup is taking place soon. We tee off our coverage with a wonderful spread of pictures and stories ahead of the sporting extravaganza.

It will be a winning Wednesday on every single one of our readers. That’s my pledge to you. And it’s no idle boast. Honest. Please do be sure to pick up your copy of The Courier. Failing that why not try our digital edition?
