Coming up in Tuesday’s Courier Hercules follows his heart

Coming up in Tuesday’s Courier Hercules follows his heart

If it’s moose news you are after (and I rather assume it is) then boy are you in the right place?

We have more on the lovelorn but somewhat errant elk Hercules who has broken free from his Perthshire estate for the SECOND time in a week.

It’s rutting season and the moose is desperate to find a partner.

His chances may be remote but, like all lovesick fellas, Hercules is nothing if not determined.

We have all the latest on his fresh bid to find the lucky (but no doubt blissfully unaware) elk who holds the keys to his heart.

If tales of unrequited love don’t float your Tuesday boat, how about a touch of golf?

The Ryder Cup is in town (or at least on its way to town). It is a veritable extravaganza of sport and we are following every swing, stroke, putt and (the occasional) shank.

If your bag is not filled with clubs, perhaps politics is more your bag (so to speak).

Well we have bags of news surrounding the Labour party conference and the obligatory referendum fall out including details of rocketing membership numbers for the SNP and Greens in the wake of the No vote. Not just a little rocket either. Most fascinating.

If you are an ageing rocker you will perhaps be most delighted to learn Pink Floyd (ageing rockers extraordinaire) are to release a new album. The cover shows a man punting a gondola thorough some clouds. That’s a dreamy image, to be sure. We have all the details.

Another brick in The Courier’s wall comes courtesy of a very special birthday party.

We speak to the Dundonian who has just turned 106. Which, by our reckoning, makes him Scotland’s third oldest man. Well done sir.

For all of these stories and many, many more, please do be sure to pick up Tuesday’s Courier. Failing that (it’s not really a failing, I’ll be generous and refer to it as a mere oversight) why not try our digital edition?
