Coming up in Tuesday’s Courier the rise of the machines…

Men from Rwanda, Peru, Malaysia, Texas and even Oakbank, Perth…

An eclectic mix, but with one thing in common.

I’m tempted not to say what it is now, but that would be churlish.

So I will.

They are all heading to Celtic Park on May 17 for the Scottish Cup final. It’s a long way (for most of them), but all will no doubt agree it was worth it if St Johnstone lift the famous old trophy.

Tuesday’s Courier has all the details.

A view fit for the Queen, aka the Queen’s View.

It is one of the most splendid sights in Scotland. So we decided to go and have a look (there has recently been a £1m revamp so admittedly that had piqued our interest somewhat).

I suppose I should point out that the £1m investment hasn’t actually changed the view very much. Just the gubbins arranged round about it. Find out more in Tuesday’s Courier.

If you like classic cars you may well come to regard Tuesday’s Courier as something of a classic in its own right. It has pictures of lots of classic cars you see. Don’t miss it, classicists.

In other news we reflect on the rise of the machines. A survey has revealed a sizeable minority are terrified by the prevalence of technology. Some even fear Robocop-style policing is just a few years away. Others dream of making love to an android (though presumably not C3PO).

Earthlings interested in self-preservation would be well advised not to miss it…

In sport, Dundee United and St Johnstone both have league games this week but the Scottish Cup final is likely to influence team selections.

We speak to Tommy Wright and Jackie McNamara, as well as players Gary McDonald and Gavin Gunning. It’s all getting rather exciting.

There’s also more reaction to Dundee’s day to remember. It was on Saturday (they won the league, just in case you’ve forgotten the day to remember) but already thoughts at Dens are turning to next season. ‘Mon the Dundee derby.

For more on all of these stories, plus literally thousands of others (or at least hundreds, I haven’t actually counted them) please do pick up Tuesday’s Courier. Alternatively if you are all for the rise of the machines why not try our digital edition?
