You just can’t beat a lovely cup of tea and a nice buttery croissant.

Our politicians certainly think so as they’ve been spending thousands of pounds on the sweet treats.

And when they aren’t filling their faces with croissants they are lavishing their guests with scones and biscuits all paid for with your hard-earned tax dollar (or pennies and pounds to be strictly accurate).

Elsewhere, anybody with even so much as an iota of artistic talent will doubtless be delighted to read details of proposals to pull together a new comic in just 24 hours.

And in one corner of the country a cheeky little fella pulled on a smart suit and mask.

The scamp then picked up a set of cable ties.

That’s because said rogue was dressed up as Christian, the “hero” of the Fifty Shades of Grey series, famed for his love of bondage.

It may have been a hit at the box office, but it doesn’t go down at all well in the headmaster’s office…
