Coming up in Monday’s Courier Back Frank’s Law

Coming Up appreciates the tangerine half of Dundee will be feeling slightly off-colour so we’ll keep this sideways glance at tomorrow’s news brief.

Naturally, the focus of our collective efforts has been on events at Hampden where plucky underdogs etc and so on

And if they hadn’t sold their two best players blah blah blah

And really, that should have been a penalty but you never get them against the Old Firm do you yadda yadda

So let’s just ignore the football and revel in the 3rd minute of the game when the stadium collectively rose to its feet (except in the expensive seats, we couldn’t help but notice) to acknowledge a legend.

The applause to remember Frank Kopel and back calls for a law change in his name was impeccably observed by both sets of fans and was a truly memorable part of an otherwise for United fans – forgettable day.

Frank’s widow, Amanda, is spearheading the campaign for free care for dementia sufferers, even if they are under the age of 65.

Frank became ill when he was just 59 and the family toiled to meet the costs of his care until he died last year.

Backed by The Courier, she is pushing for new funding rules which will be truly lifechanging for those affected by this terrible disease.

United’s battle may have ended in defeat. Let’s make sure Amanda’s doesn’t.

We will, of course, have full coverage of the League Cup Final in Monday’s Courier.

We also cover disturbing events in Inchture and Fife, where criminal investigations into a pair of shocking incidents are ongoing.

We explain why this video footage could sink a contentious windfarm plan.

And we are all over Stevie McCrorie’s bid for warbling glory on The Voice.
