As winter progresses there has been quite a few decent days to crack on with a few gardening tasks so many of us are up to date with seasonal activities, and the spring rush is still a few weeks away.
Gardening is a year round activity with flowers, fruit, vegetables, plants and flowers for the house, winter landscaping and digging and trying out new plants and ideas.
At this time of year especially after a good growing summer, the garden is so full of flowers that we can happily take plenty of cut flower for the house without reducing the floral impact of our flower borders.
June and July were the traditional times for soft fruit picking on the farms, but today we can grow our own berries in our gardens and allotments.
Summer has made a very welcome return to the Tayside region, and unusually the west of Scotland including Glasgow is properly tropical.
