How to enter The Courier’s Photographer of the Year competition

Come back on Monday July 14 to submit your photo, its title and your short story using the form below.

Every photo entered will be displayed in our online gallery.

Entries close at 5pm, Saturday 2nd August 2025.

Online entries only. Open to amateur photographers aged 18+.

Max 3 entries per person (uploaded separately).

Accepted formats: JPG, PNG | Min size 1GB per image

Prizes as stated in the competition details.

Entrants’ names will be featured alongside their submitted photo.

DC Thomson staff and immediate families may enter but cannot win prizes.

Photos must be taken by the entrant, who must have full rights to the image.

Permission is required if a person is the main subject.

No watermarks – such images will not be published.

Captions may be edited or omitted.

By entering, you grant DC Thomson rights to use your photo in relation to this competition.

You retain ownership of your image.
