Australia opener David Warner lays into ex-England spinner Graeme Swann

Graeme Swann no longer plays in the Ashes – but he has still been the target of some Australian sledging.

Australia opener David Warner started the new year by reminding Swann of his last Test series as a player.

Swann retired after the third Ashes Test four years ago, with England trailing 3-0 in a series they eventually lost 5-0.

He is back Down Under as a pundit, combining spells with BT Sport and BBC Test Match Special with some work for Australian broadcaster TEN Sport TV, as England again trail 3-0.

And while he commentated on the Big Bash League clash between Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat on Tuesday, Warner let rip.

Swann responded later on, poking fun at the opener being dismissed by England captain and part-time spinner Joe Root in the drawn fourth Test, during which Warner hit his first century of the series.
